It features MBS' high-performance, lightweight Vector trucks and totally redesigned, stylish F2 bindings keeping the board weight down without sacrificing comfort. The MBS Core 95 Board is a high level performance at great price. The Core 95 deck features a Surlyn base for excellent durability and slidability, while it's PowerLam Composite lay-up yields a fun but forgiving ride. PowerLam Composite contruction is a time tested construction technique, combined with current composite technology. Powerlam decks consist of a horizontal laminate core made from several wood veneers. Different types of veeners are strategically placed throughout the deck to yield the optimum performance required for that type of deck. Fibreglass is then added to the lay-up to increase the strength to weight ratio. MBS concentrates fibreglass layers as close to the top and bottom layers as possible as this is where the bending stresses are at the highest. Powerlam decks come predrilled for F-series bindings and MBS grab handles.
